The cheongsam is a female dress with distinctive Chinese features and enjoys a growing popularity in the international world of high fashion.

The name "cheongsam," meaning simply "long dress," entered the English vocabulary from the dialect of China's Guangdong Province (Cantonese). In other parts of the country including Beijing, however, it is known as "qipao", which has a history behind it.

When the early Manchu rulers came to China proper, they organized certain people, mainly Manchus, into "banners" (qi) and called them "banner people" (qiren), which then became loosely the name of all Manchus. The Manchu women wore normally a one-piece dress which, likewise, came to be called "qipao" or "banner dress." Although the 1911 Revolution toppled the rule of the Qing (Manchu) Dynasty, the female dress survived the political change and, with later improvements, has become the traditional dress for Chinese women.

Easy to slip on and comfortable to wear, the cheongsam fits well the female Chinese figure. Its neck is high, collar closed, and its sleeves may be either short, medium or full length, depending on season and taste. The dress is buttoned on the right side, with a loose chest, a fitting waist, and slits up from the sides, all of which combine to set off the beauty of the female shape.

The cheongsam is not too complicated to make. Nor does it call for too much material, for there are no accessories like belts, scarves, sashes or frills to go with it.

Another beauty of the cheongsam is that, made of different materials and to varying lengths, they can be worn either on casual or formal occasions. In either case, it creates an impression of simple and quiet charm, elegance and neatness. No wonder it is so much liked by women not only of China but of foreign countries as well.

Self-confidence

There are many factors that can contribute to a person’s success in life. Whether he is at school or at work, a person is more likely to succeed if he is hard-working, honest, intelligent, responsible, and so on. But of all the possible characteristics that can affect one’s success, I believe self-confidence to be the most important for the following reasons.

The first reason is that when a person has self-confidence he believes in himself. He believes that he can and will succeed, and this gives him the courage to try new things. In order to be successful we must be willing to take some risks, so having self-confidence is very important. Another reason is that a confident person rarely gives up. When he fails he tries again and again until he wins. A final reason is that confident people are not afraid to show off their achievements. This is not to say that they should brag, but that they should gracefully and confidently accept the compliments of others. When their achievements are noticed more by others at school or work, they are more likely to succeed.

In short, I believe self-confidence to be the most important factor in success. It enables people to take risks, try again when they fail, and enjoy their accomplishments when they win. With these abilities, a confident person can succeed easily at school or work.

以下是我在学习英语是经常采用的学习方法，希望你们可以采纳：

背英语单词时，我常常把一些记不住的英文单词写在便利贴上，贴在家里各处，镜子、书架、门口、书桌上„„在早晨洗脸刷牙的时候就看看，尽量不浪费一天当中记忆里最好的时间。或者是把英语单词写在小本子上，上下学时可以边走边看，如果不想被车撞的话，就看一眼单词，边看路边拼读出来吧！在记忆的时候，要努力激励自己一定可以背下来，并且规定好多长时间复习一次，在背词汇表的时候，对于已掌握的，可以掠过去不看；对于那些生词，可以采取以下策略。以四个为一组，对于连续的四个生词反复多次进行记忆，直到你在遮住右半边只看英文的情况下能够立即说出其对应的中文含义。然后再背下面四个生词。当背了5组(20个词)后，再从头把这20个词检查一遍，对于那些记不住的词，再在纸上抄几遍，以加强记忆。这样才不会让自己的词汇量有所短缺。

如果你想补充一下你的课外词汇量，就可以在做阅读题的时候，遇到不认识的单词先做记号，并猜测他们的意思，等到把全文看完后再从字典上把他们的意思找出来，具体的做法是找一本笔记本，把他的一页从中间对折，然后从字典上把英汉意思抄上去，英语单词或词组抄在左边，汉语意思抄在右边，然后对所有的词汇背三遍，先汉英对照背一边，然后分别只看英文或汉语解释背一遍。这种方法记忆的量大而且比较牢靠，只是需要十分刻苦的人才可以做到。

记得以前在李阳疯狂英语那里学习的时候，就有李阳三最口腔肌肉训练法，记住什么是三最。三罪就是“最大声、最清晰、最快速。”我们可以找一篇经典的短文或是一些句子进行联系。持之以恒，坚持练习，你的口语一定会取得很大的进步。还有一些同学是在英语听力这方面比较弱，我个人认为，语音是一门语言的基础，只有学好发音，正确的读出来，才会听得懂对方再说什么。专心听懂一段英语对话比囫囵吞枣的听了长篇文章的效果要好得多。我们记忆单词平时是用眼看心记，虽然你是认识了这个单词，但很可能你还是听不懂这个单词，听力练习时是用耳朵对单词的再熟悉。英语听力并不是听的时间越长就越好，而是需要效率，时间太长只会

让你觉得耳朵变得迟钝，大脑反应变慢。所以我们贵在精，而不在多，每天你可以只听一个小时，甚至半个小时，但你一定要保证这半个小时你做的完全是有用功，而不是无效的仅仅是在于需要一个量的安慰。听不懂是很自然的事情。提高听力是需要时间的，也没有什么捷径可走。慢慢练习，坚持每天听一定时间的英语，把自己融入英语的世界里，随着时间的流逝，你会看到成绩的。

身边有好多同学对英语作文感到吃力。英语作文其实只需要掌握两方面，一是词汇，有充足的词汇量不担心写到一半卡壳；二是语法，学会正确运用语法很重要。词汇和语法掌握好了，你还怕作文不给力么？另外还有个比较笨的方法，背范文。好用但是吃力、耗时，我不喜欢。

每次考试之后，仔细看自己的试卷，哪里该错，哪里不该错，总结经验，下次绝不再犯。如果记性差或是要总结的比较多，最好拿本子记起来。不记得在哪看的，优秀的人是不会在同一个地方摔倒两次的上课要认真听讲，不走思或尽量少走思。不要自以为是，要虚心向老师学习。不要以为老师讲得简单而放弃听讲，如果真出现这种情况可以当成是复习、巩固。尽量与老师保持一致、同步，不能自搞一套，否则就等于是完全自学了。入门以后，有了一定的基础，则允许有自己一定的活动空间，也就是说允许有一些自己的东西，学得越多，自己的东西越多。

有紧迫感是促使你努力学习的方法之一。养成习惯，观察你的竞争对手或班上成绩好又刻苦学习的同学。看到他们在课桌上奋笔疾书时，你难道不会想学习么？每次我松懈下来的时候，都会想：你不是一个人在奋斗。其实学习就像攀岩比赛，如果你不努力，你下面的人就会爬上来，把你踩在脚底下。同样的，爬得越高就越危险。竞争就是这么残酷，学生就是这么身不由己。

很荣幸今天能站在这里跟大家交流一下英语学习经验。我的一些情况刚才主持人已经说过了，就不再重复了。直接进入正题吧。现在既然大家坐在这里，说明大家还是对大学阶段的英语学习有一定规划的，至少是有一些想法要提高自己的英语水平吧。我去年这个时候，基本上什么都不知道，对英语怎么继续学习也比较茫然，不知道你们现在有没有这个感觉。现在先说一些我在大一时的英语学习经历吧。

我是分在三级班，班里的同学一般英语都很强。读写课还行，听说课曾让我郁闷了很长时间，几乎每次上听说就很紧张。因为我课上比较沉默，不爱发言，正好跟听说课的主旨相悖。我的口语发音还行，就是感觉英式思维不是很敏捷，总担心对话时答不上来，脑子一片空白怎么办。记得当时对比挺明显的，班上很多同学课上表现非常积极，给我压力很大。但是，压力归根结底还是要化为动力嘛。我就每天起很早，去操场晨读。有句话叫笨鸟先飞，我基本上就是这种类型的，我把上课要讨论的话题先自己说一遍，上课的时候就反应比较快了。有一点好处，应对老师突然点名很有效。不过有的人说这样是不是有点假。但是我觉得，还是在于你怎么看这个问题。你花了时间，自己开动了脑筋，锻炼了自己的英式思维和逻辑思维，这个过程是在课堂还是课下，应该没有多大的区别吧，最重要的不还是你自己的speaking得到提高了吗。说到晨读，我必须要告诉你们一个好消息，习惯晨读的同学加了英协可算是找对组织了。每天都有集体晨读还有权威人士领读呢，这一点真的很好。大部分同学应该跟我差不多，英语学了六年，几乎不放假的话每天早晨都有至少半个小时的晨读时间吧。你看现在，晨读的人很少，大家也会慢慢的丢了这个对英语学习非常有益的好习惯，真的很可惜。我的英语基本上是读出来的，我从来不去抄什么单词，或者大量的做英语题，我就是读。读的过程中，培养语感是肯定的，还有单词啊，在语境中记单词我认为是最好的方法。就这样一直坚持着，自己课下多下一点功夫，课上老师要求怎么做就很认真的去做，也很好的利用了网上的学习资源。不知道你们现在英语课上过机了没有。个人认为视听说教程的outside view, listening in还有unit test质量是相当高的。你们可以去听课外的bbc,voa，听地道英语，但一定不要忽视了我们已经有的学习资源，一定要好好利用。我虽然偶尔也会偷个懒，尤其是天冷了以后就不怎么晨读了，但是英语学习也没有忽视。这样，我的大一上学期就在对听说课的紧张和恐惧中度过了，不过期末考试包括口语考试成绩还挺好。应该是有一定收效吧。

下学期，开学不久有一个全国大学生英语竞赛。先是初赛，没怎么准备，因为当时觉得这比赛那么大自己也就是试一试。没想到获了一等奖，咱这个校区是有12个人，可以参加复赛。复赛分口试和笔试。当时看到口试我很无语，但既然已经有了这个机会怎么也得拼一下吧。我就每天早晨背四级口语考试题，穿插着再读读读写课的课文，记记单词，一直坚持到复试结束。复试之后获得特等奖。这个特等奖对我来说挺 重要的。因为在综合测评里面素质发展分决定最终获奖名次。我去年虽然是学习成绩第一，但是如果没有这六分，国家奖学金竞争就激烈多了。你看关键时刻英语还是相当重要的。还有以后的考研、出国啊，都非常重要，再想远一点，就是以后工作了，还是对英语有要求。所以现在不能把对英语的要求降低，没有像高中一样那么紧张的学习，就严格要求自己，不要等到那些高中的底子用的差不多了不够用了，才知道应该早早地重视英语。有一个常被人提起的现象，就是大学英语水平还比不上高考之前。如果到了这个地步，就应该好好反思反思了。

这个学期，我要考六级了，现在还没有开始准备，不过也得抓紧了。词汇量需要扩充不少。我刚在图书馆借了几本六级的书，晨读计划估计又要开始了。

英语学习六原则 英语学习应遵循以下六大原则。这些原则都是常识性的。正如美国总统林肯所说：一个人必须依据语言、逻辑和简单的常识来决定问题和建立自己的行动计划。

在学习英语的过程中，你按照常理去做，你就可能成功。你违背了常理，就不可能成功。当然，成功与否还取决于你的努力。

这一次，你若按照常理去做，并且下工夫，那你就要成功了！

一、简单原则

学习英语：从简单的开始

运用英语：简单——好、更简单－—更好、最简单－—最好 只有从简单的开始，才容易入门，才容易产生兴趣，才容易把事情进行下去。英语阅读应遵守简单原则，听、说、写都应从最简单的开始，因为简单原则有巨大的优点：

1、造就成就感，培养自信。

2、增加兴趣。

3、语言朗朗上口。

4、易于学以致用。但是很多中国学生对简单的语言往往不屑一顾，只求理解而不去尝试着使用自己学到的东西。中国学生在学英语中最喜欢追求一个字——难。尽管学了很多难的东西，却不会用。而事实上，简单的东西如能灵活、准确地使用才是真正重要的。

比如从口语来说，人们并不是看一个人会说多么难的单词，关键在于看他能否熟练运用最简单的单词、句型、语法来表达情感、思想。英语国家人们日常生活的交流是通过有限数量的单词和简单的句型来完成的。plain english（简洁英语）在英语国家已成为趋势：即在说或写英文时都力求简单。而中国学生尽管学了很多难词，复杂的结构，但就连用简单词和结构来表达思想都做不到；有时用了很大的词，一方面不妥，再者也很难让别人明白。其实当你透彻理解英语中的小词，简单表达方式时，才能熟练地用简单英语交际。

当然这并不是说难的单词和复杂句型一点儿也不能用，或者说没有用，我只是说应该少用或尽量不用。但目前简单英语即是最好英语的潮流是千真万确的。其实你同外国人面对面交流，你就会惊喜的发现，他们讲的英语是那么的简单，你甚至会反问自己学了多年的复杂英语用处何在？

学会容易的东西，并把容易的东西融会贯通地加以运用才是英语学习的关键所在。

二、量的原则

多－—好，更多－—更好，最多－—最好。

中国人学习英文，精读、精听、精说有余，但泛读、泛听远远不够，大量的乱说就更不够了。没有量的变化，怎么能有质的飞跃？因此，中国人学习英语在注重精的同时，必须更加注重泛。比如学习英语阅读，如果没有读到足够的数量，就无法熟练地阅读英语。若要学习听力，那就大量地听各种磁带，听英语广播，看英语电视，看英文电影。如要学习英语口语，那就尽量多说英文。学习英语不能太急于求成，因为只有有了量，才能有质的飞跃。量的积累是必须的。许多人学习英语时，往往有一种误解，认为一本书就代表一个水平。比如，当读完一本初级阅读书时，就会说我的阅读水平达到初级了，学完一本高级阅读书，便狂欢我达到高级阅读水平了。刚刚读了一本初级口语书，就认为已有初级口语水平。读了一本高级口语书，就认为已有高级口语水平。其实，英语学习有一个点－线－面的关系。一本书只是一个点，无数本书连成一条线，更多的线形成一个面。所谓水平就是面的问题。就拿阅读来说，首先要读

大量初级书。当你读完30本初级读物书后，在你读第31本初级读物时已没有几个生词，能轻松地读懂，并进入作者所描绘的世界时，那你就可以读中级水平的读物了。仅仅读过一本初级水平的读物，基础根本没打好，就急于读一个更高水平的读物，那必然就会欲速则不达，自然不可能学好。也就是说，无论处于何等英语水平，在相应水平上的量的积累是必须的。英语听力、口语、写作的学习亦应遵循这一原则。

语言的学习是培养一种感觉，而感觉要数量的积累来培养。俗话说水到渠成。同样的道理，达到了一定的量，语感就产生了。这时应再把感觉上升到理念，将理念融入到自己的思维中，英语就能运用自如。请注意量的积累在基础阶段最为重要。金字塔的魅力就在于它完美的建筑结构。有宽广深厚的基础，才能造就塔尖的辉煌。学好英文的道理是同样的。基础必须打牢，也只有在基础打牢的前提下，才能学好英文。

三、重复原则

英语有句谚语repitution is the mother of skill（重复是技能之母）。你可以回忆一下你学习任何一种技能的过程。无论是游泳还是骑自行车，都是重复同一类动作的过程。任何技能的获得，当然包括英语这项语言技能，均来自重复。在刚开始学习英语口语时，重复原则就更为重要。记得在天天英语中有个跟读的功能，它就是让你能够不断的跟读、重复，并且将你的声音进行录制，可以在不断重复跟读的过程中找到自己的差距。等你背诵一些英语后，就要找同伴来练，反复重复已学内容，这个时候你可以在这个天天英语的口语练习近平台里找一个同样是联系口语的人一起来练习不断的重复你已经掌握的内容。重复原则与量的原则缺一不可，要有机地把两者统一起来。

四、模仿原则

五、突击原则

若想学好英语，需要采取一个个速战速决策略，找到快速进入角色的感觉。只有这样，才能有足够的动力和兴趣把学习坚持到底。你还记得你是如何学会骑自行车、游泳或开车的吗？你是否是通过短时间的大量突击练习才掌握这些技能的呢？学习技能的要素是一样的，那就是去无数次的突击训练。当然，学英语或许不像学会骑自行车、游泳那么简单，但驾驭和使用英语语言的确是掌握和培养一种技能。学习一种技能，突击原则是最重要的。

我在学习英语时就运用了这种突击强化的方法。我最初开始学习英语，先突击英语阅读三个月。从简易读物开始，坚持天天最大量地来读。通过突击英语阅读，不但学到了词汇，还熟悉了各种语法现象，更了解了一些西方的生活、文化和思想。紧接着，又去强化听力，经过三个月的听力突击之后，再回过头强化英语阅读。强化完阅读后，再强化听力。强化完听力后，再强化英语口语。按 照这个原则，进行阅读－听力－口语－写作的突击强化。按照这种方法来学英语，进步是飞快的。在这期间天天英语给了我很大的帮助，听经典句型、跟读、重复录音、直接找好友练习口语。你这样反复突击五到六次，你的语音定将成为最棒的。句型、阅读、语法、听力、口语也都要有这样一种反复突击强化的过程。

一个人的精力不可能总是充沛的，重复做同一件事情就会变得单调，因此就要采取间隔突击强化的方法。英语学习的过程应该是由一个个强化突击阶段所组成的。

英语是否流利取决于对节奏的正确掌握。英语是按单词和句子的重音来分节奏的。英文诗是练习英语节奏的最好材料之一。例如 worsworth 著名的“the daffodils”（水仙花）：“i wandered lonely as a cloud/that floats on high oer vales and hills...”（我象一片白云孤独的游荡，飘越过溪谷和群山......）便是典型的弱强节奏。读熟之后，大声朗诵，一定获益非浅。

并且应该精读和泛读并行。在一篇文章中，抓住好的句子重点阅读。

写！

中国人大都比较沉默含蓄，普遍都有喜欢听，不喜欢说，喜欢读，不喜欢写的心理。即使在口语课上也常常是少数几个学生在讲话，多数只是默默的听。这种心理如果不突破，是难以让英语更上一层楼的。读完一篇文章，试着用英文记下要点，有可能的话，写几句对这篇文章的看法。这样练习，就能将被动（passive）转变成主动（active），把输入（input）转换成输出（output）了。另外，还可以用英语写日记。既然说是日记（diary），最好能够每天都写。英文能否写的通顺还是次要的问题，能够持续的每天用英文记日记（keep a diary in english）才是最重要的。

在当今这种国际化的社会里，用英文写报告，札记，备忘录的机会越来越多，尤其是从事国际贸易或其他国际事务的人士更需要培养这种能力。

英文写作能力的培养，要靠平时点滴的积累。我们可以把在工作和休闲时阅读到的外国文献，小说或英文报刊杂志的内容作成摘要。尽可能不要抄原文，而要用自己的英文把已理解的内容简要整理出来，然后念给家长，老师，朋友听。这样做可发现摘要的内容是否正确，自己发音是否清晰，是一种可立即见效的练习方式，对思绪的整理和文字的锻炼帮助很大。

总结 英文程度好坏，是看您能否在日常生活中随心所欲的运用英文听，说，读，写这四种技能。

对于绝大多数同学来说，英语始终是心头大患。我与大家经历相同，从4年级便被扣上了这顶帽子，每一次考试，英语总是给我拖后腿，但在一次次摸索中，我也在不断进步，总结了一些经验。正所谓“方向不对，努力白费”，正确的学习方法会使我们的学习效率大大提高，从而达到事半功倍的目的。下面是我总结的一些学习英语的经验，希望可以供同学们参考。

第一，做好课堂笔记。

顾名思义，课堂笔记便是利用课堂时间将老师所讲的重点、难点、疑点记下，千万不可以“手懒”，对于知识零碎的英语来说更是如此，好记性不如烂笔头。然后是回顾笔记，回顾笔记才是做笔记的重点，建议大家，周末时专门抽出时间回顾一下当周所做的笔记，这样能有效地缓解紧张的心理，可以让你在下一周的学习中得心应手。举个我自己的`例子吧，记得有一次英语抽测，我抱着侥幸的心理，没有做好复习工作，所以考试前就开始临时抱佛脚，结果到了最后，根本没有时间复习完，考试时慌慌张张，考得一塌糊涂。所以说，做好笔记对于学生来说十分重要。

第二，整理回顾错题。

对于很多同学来说，都能做到整理错题，但重点是我们不仅仅要整理，更要回顾与反思。所谓“好马不吃回头草”对我们学生万万不可适用，要想成功挤过中考这座独木桥，就必须回顾自己的错题，也防止再出现类似的失误。再举个例子吧，我开始和很多同学一样只是纠一下错，之后就不管了，但是有一次考试，我真记得做过某一题，就是忘了怎么做，结果不仅没做出题，心情也糟糕透顶，考试结果可想而知惨不忍睹，后来我学着经常回顾错题本，慢慢地积累，厚积薄发，考试也不再出现类似的失误。

第三，要利用零碎的时间。

英语是一门需要长期积累的科目，知识点很多，一定要好好利用互联网、学习机和其他移动方便的设备，更不用说书籍和杂志这样的传统学习资源！你完全可以在课间、排队、午休等时间记几个单词，要养成“天天英语”的习惯，每天按老师的要求作一篇完形阅读，坚持天天听英语。其实学英语的过程更像是一朵云的形成，是水汽的一点点积累；而不像砌一面墙那样，把砖堆上去就好。

个误区，对基础知识重视不够。基础知识是最简单的但也是最重要的。

许多人面对这个问题时总是用不认真、不仔细来解释，但这不是根源。前面提到，即使去检查也不一定能查出来，而且还会浪费一些思考偏难题的时间。因此，一次做对是关键。但怎样才能一次做对呢？首先，要重视熟练。古人说熟能生巧，只有多做练习才能做到熟练，心中挂一个警钟，一遇到这种题小心就能避免出错。经常做练习，看到这些题就能不假思索写出正确答案，这样就比我们草草做完，回头花大量时间去检查要好的多。

去年年底，我的左脚第三次应力性骨折，我不得不离开赛场，半年多以来和很多关心我的朋友一样，我也是在漫长的期待中度过，在那段时间里我内心十分纠结，反复思考，为此今天宣布一个个人的决定，作为篮球运动员，我将结束自己的运动生涯，正式退役。

此时此刻，回顾过去，展望未来，我的内心充满感激，我首先要感谢的是篮球这项伟大的运动，为无数人带来了快乐，包括易约骸Ｎ?岁的时候有了第一个篮球，9岁进入上海市体校，14岁进入上海训练队，16岁背上我父亲当年的号码，代表上海队比赛，篮球是我延续家庭的传承，每当看到父母欣慰的眼神，我都感到无比自豪，也非常荣幸能够和上海大鲨鱼的队友为上海赢得2002年CBA冠军，和我们身后这座城市联系在一起。同一年在进入NBA之后，篮球引领我进入更宽广的舞台，使我尽情展现自己。更要感谢能有机会为中国国家队奋战十年，那是无数青年人的梦想，同时因为篮球，与心爱的人结缘，建立美满的家庭，获得一生的幸福。所有这些都是无比热爱的篮球带给我的，我要感谢篮球。

From the destruction of vital ecosystems, to the ingestion of plastics by marine life, the impact we have on the environment is one that is far-reaching and profound.

So, what can we do to make a difference? As individuals, we can make conscious decisions about the products and services we consume. This can include everything from opting for reusable containers and bags, to making an effort to use public transportation or carpooling when possible. Companies too must do their part by adopting environmentally-friendly practices, from the sourcing of materials to the management and disposal of waste.

But individual and corporate action alone is not enough. We must also put pressure on our governments and policymakers to implement better regulations and legislation in the name of environmental protection. This can range from investing in renewable energies to enforcing stricter penalties for environmental crimes.

Of course, change cannot happen overnight. But we must remain committed and take action wherever we can. Remember, small steps can lead to big changes. And, at the end of the day, the environmental crisis we face should be seen not as a burden, but as an opportunity to create a more sustainable and equitable world for all. Thank you.

as a correspondent of the qingdao morning news, i visited dr. james gilman, the president of the international ***mittee for marco polo studies in england. in this picture, this is james, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth.

65 years ago, james lived in qingdao. then he was only 5 years old. he often visited the aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon.

在此，通过全方位把握考研阅读的文章内容，我们英语教研室杨凤芝老师把考研阅读中的句型，从宏观的角度分为以下三类：短而难的句子、虚假的长难句、真正的长难句。接下来我们逐个分析。

首先我们看一下什么是短而难的句子。这些句子一般都是约定俗成的谚语，是广大人民群众智慧的结晶。既然是结晶，意思表达就会较抽象，难以快速把握，需要我们结合具体语境进行深层的把握。同学们看这一句: it never rains, but pours.这是第四篇阅读理解的第一句话，相当于文章的题眼，其字面意思很简单：“从来不下雨，但是下倾盆大雨。”很明显，这不是一句“人类”能识别的汉语，倾盆大雨不是雨吗?那样翻译肯定不行。其实这句话是英语中很有名的谚语：“不雨则已，一雨倾盆”，“不鸣则已，一鸣惊人”。如果描述的是坏事，同学们可以借鉴第一种译法，类似于“祸不单行”的意思;如果是好事，同学们可以借鉴第二种，就是一鸣惊人。同样的表达在考研英语的阅读文章及题目中经常出现，如第一篇文章最后一题四个选项都是谚语： [A] “It's no use crying over spilt milk”(覆水难收);[B] “More haste, less speed”(欲速则不达);[C] “Look before you leap”(三思而后行);[D] “He who laughs last laughs best”(笑到最后的人笑得最好)。 20第一篇阅读理解最后一题的四个选项也都是谚语：[A]Faith will move mountains(精诚所至，金石为开);[B] One reap what he sows(种瓜得瓜，种豆得豆);[C]Practice make perfect(熟能生巧);[D]Like father, like son(有其父必有其子)。无一例外的，这两道题都是以文章的主旨题形式出现的，由此可见谚语在考研中的重要性。其实，这类表达考查的基本上就是同学们英语语言的.积累，没有相应的积累，很难将它理解到位。但是有的时候积累只是基础，还要会灵活运用。我们看一下这句话“no pains, no gains”的意思，地球人都知道是不是?但是19的第二篇阅读的开头是这样使用的这句话：“No pains, no gains. What about pains without gains?”意思是：一分耕耘一分收获。但是如果只有耕耘没有收获呢?暗示下文的美国商界的产业结构调整做的全部是无用功。

那么我们怎么应对这类难句呢?积累。考研单词书上有很多这类句子，但是不少同学见到这类句子，总是绕着走，不去记。其实这些东西比单词好记，记单词的时候顺便记一下就可以。此外，这里需要告诫同学们一点：记忆日常表达中经常使用的谚语对写作也会有非常大的帮助，谚语会成为提升作文语言水平的亮点。但是切忌在写作时胡编乱造。我见一个学生在考研作文中写过一个这样的句子：As one old saying goes, one arrow, two birds.很明显这位同学是想表达“一石二鸟”之意，但是这句话有特定的表达，不能随意编造。“Kill two birds with one stone.”才是正确的表达。还有经常威胁人用的“give you a little color to see see.”这类胡编乱造、让阅卷老师先是迷惑而后震怒的表达，千万不要出现在你的试卷上，你那不是拿自己的命运开玩笑吗?即使阅卷老师不能记住每个谚语，以他们的英语修养也可以很快地判断出你这个表达符不符合英语表达习惯。所以同学们一定要踏踏实实地复习，别想着投机取巧。

这类句型的特点是，插入成分较多，第一眼看上去绝对让你头晕眼花，不知所措。但其实只要去掉那些虚伪的修饰，这个句子“犹抱琵琶半遮面”的神秘感就荡然无存，句子的结构也就立刻清晰了。那这些虚伪的成分到底是什么呢?就让我们通过几个极具代表性的例子来看一下吧。

一眼扫视之后，发现这个句子挺长的，而且有两个破折号。两个破折号，或是两个逗号之间的内容往往是插入语的成分，这种成分的特点就是拎出来之后不影响句子的结构，并且在考研阅读文章中，这样的成分又往往不是文中的重点信息，所以应该直接跳过对其采取不予理睬的策略。好，句子现在变成了：Although warnings are often appropriate and necessary and many are required by state and government, it isn’t clear that they actually protect the manufacturers and sellers from liability if a customer is injured.

这样一看句子就变成了Although……，it isn’t clear that……，这样一个主语从句型结构。

这个句子在阅读的过程中，可以再次简化，因为Although 引导的让步状语从句在阅读中并不是重点信息，所以我们的目光就可以聚焦到it isn’t clear that they actually protect the manufacturers and sellers from liability if a customer is injured.

此句型结构是一个形式主语从句的结构，形容词clear对应的主语其实是that引导的内容，在这个从句中我们又发现了一个引导词if，这个if 引导的从句包含在that 从句当中。

接下来，我们再仔细看that从句中的内容是“they actually protect the manufacturers and sellers from liability if a customer is injured”在这个从句当中if 所引导的从句是一个条件状语从句。

通过这样分析，句子在层层简化之后就变得非常清晰了。这类句子往往长而不难，原因在于，要么包含了although引导的一个长长的从句，要么就是诸如头衔、身份、或职位的专有名词较多，而这些信息在阅读解题时并不是重要的信息，所以我们一旦遇到这种情况就可以迅速绕过，直击核心信息。

虚假的长难句可以说是只长不难，句子的主干结构很容易抓住，虚伪信息容易剔除;而考研长难句中，还有一部分是从句嵌套严重所致结构更加复杂的句型，这种句子的理解难度就会空前地加大。如果把那些虚假长难句比喻成武术中的容易被破解没什么杀伤力的“花把势”，那接下来讲的真正的长难句就是内外兼修的武林高手了。我们来见识一下吧。

先来看一个例子：

是啊！“老吾老以及人之老，幼吾幼以及人之幼。”同理，对待学生我们又何尝不应如此！她是在无意间这么说的，在平时她也在无意间就这么做了！

在满怀希望、喜获丰收的季节里，我们欢聚在某中学庆祝教师节，表彰在20__-20__年教育工作中做出突出贡献的先进集体和优秀教师，动员全镇上下进一步振奋精神、鼓舞士气、奋力拼搏、扎实工作，奋力推动全镇教育事业不断开创新的局面，实现新的跨越，为建设“实力某镇、美丽某镇、幸福某镇”提供人才和智力支持。首先，我谨代表镇党委、政府，向辛勤工作在全镇教育战线上的广大教师和教育工作者致以节日的问候!向受到表彰奖励的先进集体和先进个人表示热烈的祝贺!

百年大计，教育为本。近年来，镇委，牢固树立“抓教育就是抓根本，抓教育就是抓民生，抓教育就是抓未来”的理念，坚持把教育摆在优先发展的重要地位，加强领导，加大投入，通过全镇广大教育工作者和干部群众的共同努力，全镇教育事业得到长足发展，取得可喜成绩，呈现出良好的发展态势。一方面，教育投入不断加大，尊师重教氛围更加浓厚。我们通过镇财政直接投入、动员社会各界捐资助学等方式，不断加大教育事业的支持力度，近年来累计配套投入1000余万元，不断改善了中

小学办学条件;争取项目投资500多万元，建成了某镇公立幼儿园，可容纳500名儿童就读;实行教育质量奖励政策，不断完善《镇教育质量奖励实施方案》，逐年提高奖励标准，目前已累计兑现奖励资金100万元;推行全镇在校中小学生每人每年500元生活补贴政策，今年上半年已发放生活补贴资金50万元，今天会上发放下半年的学生生活补贴50万元，全年共发放100万元;建立贫困学生助学制度，每年救助100名贫困中小学生;建立镇“圆梦大学、幸福某镇”大学新生助学金，对镇考取一、二本的贫困家庭大学生进行资助，今年共资助50人近50万元。

另一方面，在广大教育工作者的辛勤工作下，我镇教学质量不断提高。小学今年统考成绩位居全县同类学校第一名，这也是该校连续第六年统考成绩位居全县同类学校第一名;镇中心小学今年取得全县综合量化分第一名的好成绩，该校连续三年外校录取的学生人数位居全县乡镇第一名;中学20__年度县一高录取学生100名，另外，本籍学生在高考中连续两年考取一、二本人数在100人以上。

镇中心小学、某小学获得全县20__-20__年度教育质量建设先进单位一等奖;镇中心小学校长同仁、某小学校长同仁获得了县20__-20__学年度“优秀校长”称号;中学老师、小学老师被评为县20__-20__学年度师德标兵，为我们镇教育事业争得了荣誉，有这样一批优秀的教师也是我们人民的莫大福气。

这些成绩的取得来之不易，是全镇上下密切配合、共同努力的结果，更是广大教师和教育工作者在教书育人第一线，以高度的责任感、强烈的使命感和崇高的职业道德、过硬的业务素质、潜心教书、精心育人、默默耕耘、无私奉献，在平凡的岗位上做出了不平凡的业绩。今天受到表彰的10名优秀教师，就是全镇广大教师和教育工作者中的杰出代表。

在他们身上，集中体现了广大教师献身教育、甘为人梯的崇高境界，代表了广大教师任劳任怨、呕心育人的可贵品德，展示了广大教师为人师表、无私奉献的可敬风范。可以说，教育事业前进的每一步都渗透着全镇广大教师和教育工作者的心血和汗水;经济社会发展的每一项成就，都凝结着全镇广大教师和教育工作者的智慧和奉献。人民教师是最可亲、最可爱的人，扎更山区的教师更是最美教师，借此机会，我代表镇党委、镇政府向全镇的人民教师和广大教育工作者，表示衷心的感谢和崇高的敬意!

当前正处在跨越发展的重要机遇期。镇是全国民间文化艺术之乡，是全省经济百强乡镇，是全省旅游名镇、特色乡镇，也是全市城乡统筹试点镇，的未来发展，前景广阔、蓝图宏伟、鼓舞人心，我们目标是用3-5年时间把建设成为全省百强乡镇十强，建成全国生态，目标的实现，需要全镇上下同心同德、共同拼搏，更需要一流的教育，提供优秀的人才作支撑。在此，我代表党委、政府对进一步做好教育工作，推进教育事业发展新跨越讲三点意见：

第一，要营造教育发展新氛围。教育是民族振兴的根本，是社会进步的基石，关系千家万户，惠及子孙后代、大力发展教育事业事关的发展和未来。全镇各级各部门和广大教育工作者要站在科学发展的战略高度，抓教育就是抓生产力、抓教育就是抓发展、抓教育就是抓经济建设的理念，始终坚持把教育摆在优先发展的战略位置，进一步增强责任感、紧迫感、使命感，进一步形成合力，营造良好氛围。

党委、政府将坚持把关心和支持教育事业发展列入重要议事日程，并根据经济社会发展情况，不断加大对教育事业的投入力度。要大力宣传加快教育事业发展的重要意义，进一步引导和动员社会力量尤其是企业界人士通过多种形式兴致助教，大力倡导助学为荣的风尚。要广泛宣传优秀教师的典型事迹，在全镇营造理解教育、关心教育、支持教育的生动局面。

第二、要创造教育发展新业绩。教学是教育工作的中心，质量是教育的灵魂和生命。要切实树立以提高教学质量为核心的教育发展观，努力在提高学校管理水平上下功夫，在提高教育质量上下功夫，办出特色、办出水平、办出质量。同时，我们在平时的教育教学过程中要把学生良好的品质、健全的人格培养放在第一位，更加注重提高学生素质教育，引导学生形成良好的品质和健全的人格。

学校应以做人教育为基础，立仁成才教育为主线，人格完善教育为目标，全方位开展德育工作，努力建设健康、高雅的校园文化，着力培养学生的自治能力、适应能力和文明习惯，养成具有民族正气、个人仁气、集体风气的健康集体和健全个体。当前，全县教育发展竞争激烈，前有标兵、后有追兵、不进则退、慢进亦退。党委政府和全镇人民对的教育寄予厚望、充满信心。

家庭的命运在于孩子，孩子的命运在于老师。的发展需要一批批优秀的人才，需要更多本土人才回到家乡为各项事业的发展贡献力量。希望各学校、广大老师和教育工作者瞄准一流目标，坚定争先创优决心，帮助更多籍的学生跳出龙门，为全社会培养出一批批人格健全、个性独立、负责任的孩子，为的发展提供更多的人才支撑，在的教育史上书写更为辉煌的新篇章。

第三、要塑造人民教师新形象。百年大计，教育为本;教育大计，教师为本。建设一支政治素质过硬、业务精湛、结构合理的现代教师队伍是办好教育的根本。长期以来，全镇广大教师恪尽职守、无私奉献，为教育事业做出了突出贡献。希望广大教师进一步发扬好的传统、好的作风，秉持严格的师道，自尊自励，刻苦钻研，养成求真务实的治学态度，恪守严谨笃学的良好学风，坚持以学生为本、以言传道、以行垂范，用真理、真言、真行教化学生，用真情、真心、真诚感化学生。

要坚守崇高的师德。近年来，社会上出现了一些骇人听闻的师德败坏的丑闻，他们的不法行为给家庭、学校、社会都带来了极其恶劣的影响。因此，对老师的师德教育迫在眉睫，身正为师，为人师表，希望每一位教师都要有当好人民教师的责任感和荣誉感，忠诚于党的教育事业，树立高尚的道德情操和精神追求，用自己的实际行动和优异的工作实绩承担起“人类灵魂工程师”的神圣职责。要练就高超的师艺，秉持终身学习理念，不断拓宽知识视野、更新知识结构，不断创新教育方法，努力成为受学生爱戴、让人民满意的好教师，塑造新时期人民教师的新形象。

教师，一个普通的名字，可是在今年这个名字却显得格外的厚重。师者，传道、授业、解惑。教师，多么神圣的字眼。这个名字赋予我们的实在太多太多……每个人的成长和成才，都离不开教师的培养;社会的每一点提高和更新，无不饱含着教师的辛劳和奉献。解决疑难，教师是书;传递礼貌，教师是桥;科教兴国，教师是帆。从入学的第一天开始，我们的每一点提高，每一份成功，无不浸透了教师们的心血与汗水，无不来源于教师们的栽培与辛苦。是教师的手在引导，是教师的目光在鼓励，是教师的声音在指正，是教师的心在呼唤，是教师的人格在感召。

尊敬的各位领导、各位同行：

大家上午好，我是通川区四小的一名普通教师何勇，在教师节前，能参加区委区政府组织的这次座谈会，我感到非常高兴，也非常激动，这充分体现了党委政府对我们老师的关心，对教育事业的重视。

我们四小是一所近八十年办学历史的老校，在区委区政府的正确领导和关心下，学校迈入了快车道，由一所农村小学演变成了一所初具规模的达州市示范小学。特别是今年，为了改善办学条件，区委区政府在资金极其困难的情况下，还投资近400万元为学校征地近9亩作为教学用地，为学校的发展打下了坚实的基础。这里我也代表四小的师生员工感谢各位领导了。

1999年我走上了教育岗位，担任班主任至今。班主任工作的成败，涉及到校风，班纪和学生的成长。这十多年来我在班主任工作岗位上，不断的总结班主任工作经验，现谈一谈自己的一些体会，与大家共勉。不当之处，敬请在座的批评指正!

一、要有一颗爱心

班主任教师一定要对教育事业的热爱，才能全身心的投入到现实的工作中。只有拥有一颗仁爱之心平等地对待每一个学生，只有对学生全身心的爱，才能和学生做朋友，才能走进他们的心灵，才能时时处处的为他们现在着想，为他们的将来着想，他们也会把你当朋友，才会样样听你的，样样告诉你。

二、为人师表，率先垂范，对学生进行思想品德教育。

成才必先成人，榜样的力量是无穷的，何况小学生的模仿力是最强的。班主任是全班学生的组织者、教育者和指导者。培养全面发展的人才具有举足轻重的地位和作用。因此，规范学生品德行为首先规范自己的行为，在工作中要求学生做到的，自己先做到，尊重每一个学生的人格，让他们明白什么事能做，什么事不能做，提高他们明辨是非的能力，教他们懂得感恩父母，认真学习，以优异成绩回报父母。

三、小学学生的养成教育是班主任工作的重心和关键

(一)养成良好的学习习惯。学习是学生的基本责任，是学生将来立身社会的前提，贡献社会的基础。所以学生要热爱学习、学会学习，养成学习的好习惯，培养学习的能力。而其中学习习惯的养成尤为重要。为培养学生良好的学习习惯，我经常要求学生学习要有目的、有计划、早安排。每学期开始组织一次班会，让学生谈理想、谈人生、谈今年的计划，随后写出个人的学期计划，考试目标分数，以后一一对照，全年不间断更新目标，从而不断进步激励自己更加努力学习。

(二)养成良好的卫生习惯。清洁干净美观的环境有利于学生学习，要使学生成为素质高、气质雅的人，平时特别注意从小处做起，从小节处育人。随手捡起一片纸，环境卫生人人有责，我为人人、人人为我，这些口号在班内深入人心。值日学生甘愿吃苦，任务承包者任劳任怨。班级的环境得到了清洁，同学的心灵得到了净化。

(三)养成良好的纪律习惯。严格的纪律约束是为了让学生达到更好的自律，良好的纪律习惯是一个班级的核心。每年开学一开始就制定详细的量化管理细则，其中包括纪律、卫生、学习、从教室到公区以及扣分、奖分等等，让班长、纪律委员、卫生委员、学习委员和学生代表担当值周生记录情况，一周一次总结，发现问题及时教育、及时引导、及时补救，试验多年取得了很好的效果。学生一旦养成了良好的习惯，班主任的班级管理就会取得事半功倍的效果!

最后，要注重学生的激励教育。在课堂上你的一个微笑，你的一个关爱的眼神，一句信任的鼓励，都能赢得学生的信赖，会使他们的潜能发挥出来。在教育中应少一些批评，多一些赏识，对每一位学生都要充满爱心，发现每一位学生的闪光点。班主任老师一定要相信每一位学生都有无穷的潜力，只要你耐心去开发，他就是一块无价之宝。我用的激励方法是制作激励卡，每人贴在桌面上，上面设计有自我激励名言、挑战对手、各科目标分数、还有班主任寄语。特别是班主任亲自填写寄语，不但对学生激励大，对班主任也是一种提高，真正走进每位学生的心灵，去发现他们每位身上的闪光点和不足。

四、争取家长的支持，和家长做朋友，多沟通也是教育孩子的关键。

回顾自己的成长，离不开领导的关心与帮助，在今后的工作中，我将更加严格要求自己，不辜负各级领导的培养与期望，以人民教师应有的模范品德良好的行为去教育和影响学生，为教育事业做出自己的贡献。回校后，我一定会将领导们对教师的关心和祝福带回去!

近几年来，先后有李世宏书记、周海球部长、伍国强副市长等一大批市级领导和教育局周局长、廖书记等多位局领导多次莅临我校实地指导工作，为我们解决许多现实困难。特别是近年来市委市政府多方筹措资金，落实绩效工资，并补发之前的工资。这些实实在在的尊师重教之举使老师们干劲更足了，个个能以更加饱满的热情投入到教育教学工作当中。

尤其令人感动的是__镇人民政府历来有非常重视教育的优良传统。现任党委书记吴中才书记上任第三天就带领党委政府班子成员来到学校，亲切询问办学过程中所遇到的问题困难，对学校今后的发展提出了宝贵的意见与建议，并告诉我们一定想方设法为师生创建良好的工作、学习、生活环境。

教育是国计，也是民生;教育是今天，更是明天。我想借此机会建议从以下三个方面请各级领导更多关注和支持教育事业。

建议一，加大财政对基础教育尤其是农村学校的投入;建议二，建立农村教师专业成长专项资金，关心农村教师生活和成长，使优秀教师在农村能够进得来、留得住、用得好。建议三，关注和加快促进城乡教育的均衡发展，大力推进教育公平。

记得那是我上一年级的时有一次我流鼻血了，我是个患过敏性鼻炎的人，出鼻血是经常的，但这次特别厉害，因为我自己不会止血，心里很害怕，在家里流鼻血通常是外婆帮我止住的，在学校可怎 么办啊?闵老师见了立马过来帮我止住了鼻血，还擦干净脸上的血迹，我心里的那块大石头终于落地了，我常常的出了一口气。本以为这下就好了，谢过闵老师就可以和同学去做游戏了。可令我惊讶的 是闵老师帮我止完了血还没走说：“今天，你要喝十杯水，这样才可以把流掉的血补回来，也可以补充水分。”天哪!十杯水?这下我可完蛋了，我是个不爱喝水的人，特别是在冬天。我以为老师说了 就会忘记的，没想到闵老师在第一节课下课时就来问我水喝过了吗?这下我可尴尬了。“没……没有。”我回答，我以为老师会生气的，可她笑了笑，让我把水喝完，又帮我倒了一杯让我下节课 喝……之后每节课都是这样。

这件小事使我非常难忘，有这样的老师教我，我真荣幸!

有人说，老师是梯，以伟岸的身躯托着学生稚嫩的双脚，一步步攀高、向上;有人说，老师是红烛，以不灭的信念为学生照亮前进的道路，引领他们劈波斩浪;还有人说，老师是渡人的小船，把一批批学生送往知识的彼岸……用这些语言形容我们九中的老师毫不为过，我接触过的每一位教师的事迹都可以编撰成一部感人至深的巨著，他们的模范行为都能谱写成一首首动人心魄的爱心史诗!多少个静谧的夜晚，他们笔耕不辍。有时，为了备好一堂课，研读教材好多遍;有时，为了完成学校交给的紧急任务，不得不放弃盼望已久的.休息日，熬红双眼直到东方已晓。数不清的晨曦暮霭，他们奔忙在两点一线上，为教学的一点疏漏而反思，为学生的丁点小事而较真。夜静更阑时，还为班级的发展辗转反侧。甚至家人或自己生病时，都不舍得休息，害怕耽误同学们的课程。
